Boats in the Up to 26' Club |
Boats in the Up to 26' Club include both production boats and one-off designs. while the majority of boats fall under the classes listed below, the variety of vessels in the club is enormous - all racing is done on a handicap basis so whether you have the latest carbon fibre rocket or Noah's hand-me-down cruiser, you can enjoy racing and socialising with the Upto26Club.
We aim to collate a comprehensive listing of the different small boats that can be seen out and about, not only for reference, but also for those who are looking at getting their own first (or next) boat. Please feel free to email us with a blurb or description about your vessel, class or history so we can share it with others. We have added links to owners associations where possible and recommend that any small boat owner ensure they join their owners group if there is one, these groups help to represent your class and add value to our vessels.
Please note: this list is a long way from complete and if your boat is not represented, it is merely because we haven't had a chance to add it, or don't know much about it.

The Farr 727 marked legendary Kiwi designer Bruce Farr's ascent to world yachting fame in the mid 70s and is still a strong competitor today - with two cabin sizes available and around thirty yachts in auckland, the Farr 727 is almost always represented in any racing and or cruising situation. |

With a strong class that gets stronger every year, this 26ft racer-cruiser is popular among those who wish to race competively while enjoying a roomy vessel for summer cruising. |
Noelex22 |

Something of a pocket rocket, this dimunitive vessel is the only trailer yacht to race with the club in significant numbers. The Nolex 22 punches well above its weight and loves nothing more than a good blow to show up the larger keelers. |
| Pied Pipers |

This popular Townsen 22ft design has a longstanding and well deserved reputation as the party boat of the yachting world and can often be seen packed to the gunnels with merry-makers - as well as making itself well known on the racing scoreboard. |
| Reactors |

A popular keeler, the reactors enjoy racing and cruising and often muster a division of their own in the larger races. Performing somewhere between the trackers and the 727s, a reactor in good hands makes a great race boat with comfort to boot. |
| SR26s |

| |
26ft in size, closer to 30 in performance - the SR26 is a sport boat with a great pedigree and is often seen from astern. Despite the fact that many SR26s have been modified, it is a class which has been attracting growing interest and is making waves in many of the longer races. |
| Raven 26s |
| |
These boats are the shy kind and while there are many, many of them around, they are very rarely seen racing. A roomy, comfortable sail, these vessels tend to spend their time cruising the coastline and ranging far and wide. |

| |
A beamy wee vessel, this 24ft boat has been slowly disappearing from Auckland waters although they are still occasionally seen in the cruising hot spots during the summer months. |
